Hi Everyone!! So today I want to talk about Chronic Pain and Comfort. Should these two words be used in the same sentence?
Well, I believe they have to be. It is so hard when you are in so much pain to find that place of comfort. I do what I call rotating, sit, stand, lay, sit, stand, lay.. You get the picture! It is the only way I can get my body to ease off a little and not really upset my back and legs.
So I have been working in my art room and had what I thought was a comfortable office chair. My back has really been bothering me while doing art,, so I decided that It was time to hopefully find another chair that would actually be more comfortable. I headed with a friend to an office supply store. I sat in several and they either were too hard,, not enough support where I needed it, or just uncomfortable. I finally sat in this one,, and said oh,, yeah!!!!!
After talking to the sales associate I found out that the one I was sitting in had been a floor model for at least 6 months if not longer. I was really leary about buying one in the box due to it being hard and uncomfortable. They would not offer me a deal on the floor model,, so I just went for it and bought one brand new.
I have to say,, I brought it home,, hubs put it together for me,,, and WAHOOOOO.... It is sooooo comfortable. So I had to test it out,, I did some art and what do you know,, my back pain did not increase!!!
So my point to this whole story is do what you have to in order to make yourself more comfortable. I know I have changed from Jeans into leggings, I use a body pillow to sleep with,, and now I have a comfortable chair. We deal with so much pain on a daily basis that I believe its essential for us to get as much comfort as we can, when we can and where we can. Do you agree?
I hope today is as pain free as you can get and don't forget to have fun,, That's what life is all about! (((Gentle Hugs)))
Hi. I was a "normal" gal just living, working and playing until "IT" happened. The accident that changed my entire life as I knew it. This is my story. I hope you follow along and somewhere along this journey find inspiration to accept where you are in life and work within those bounds. Most of all,, Have Fun,, That's what life is all about!!
